U.S. President Donald Trump has urged House Republicans to vote for the release of Jeffrey Epstein-related documents, reversing his earlier stance.
Eko Hot News reports that Trump posted on Truth Social on Sunday night, saying, “House Republicans should vote to release the Epstein files, because we have nothing to hide.”
The announcement comes as several Republicans signal willingness to support the move, with the House expected to vote this week on legislation requiring the Justice Department to make the files public.
If passed, the Senate would still need to approve it, and Trump would have to sign off on the release.
The Epstein Files Transparency Act, co-sponsored by Republican Thomas Massie, aims to make public all unclassified records, communications, and investigative material tied to Epstein. Massie has suggested that as many as 100 Republicans may back the bill.
Trump made the statement shortly after returning from Florida, pointing to Justice Department inquiries into Epstein’s connections with high-profile figures, including former President Bill Clinton.

Trump also said he would ask federal authorities to investigate Epstein’s relationships with key individuals. Clinton has denied any involvement in Epstein’s crimes.
The move follows the House Oversight Committee’s recent publication of emails between Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, highlighting some references to Trump.
Republicans subsequently released a larger batch of 20,000 documents to counter what they described as selective leaks meant to create a false narrative.
Trump described the files as a “Democrat-driven hoax,” while House Speaker Mike Johnson indicated that releasing the documents could help clear allegations against Trump.
Meanwhile, Trump’s public feud with Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene over the files continues, with both criticizing each other on social media.
Epstein survivors, including Virginia Giuffre’s family, have urged Congress to vote for full disclosure, emphasizing accountability for victims.
