Sanwo-Olu made the remarks on Monday during the commissioning of the TY Logistics Park, FZE, a modern trade and warehousing facility in Alaro City designed to boost the country’s logistics and supply chain capacity.

The facility, inaugurated by Sanwo-Olu alongside Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas, spans 29,000 square metres and features advanced warehouse management systems designed to enhance the movement of goods across Nigeria and West Africa.

Sanwo-Olu praised TY Holdings for its strategic investment in Lagos, describing the logistics park as a landmark development that will shape the economic future of the state and the nation.

He noted that the project demonstrates Alaro City’s growing reputation as a preferred industrial hub in Sub-Saharan Africa and aligns with Lagos’ commitment to modernising logistics and attracting foreign investment.

The Governor also highlighted ongoing infrastructure projects within the Lekki industrial corridor, including a planned road linking Lekki Port, Dangote Refinery and Alaro City to ease congestion on the Lekki Expressway.

He added that Lagos is developing West Africa’s largest food logistics hub and is strengthening critical infrastructure to support businesses in the fast-growing corridor.

In his remarks, Governor Kefas commended the initiative and affirmed Taraba State’s commitment to ongoing collaborations with Lagos, particularly in moving agricultural produce to Lagos markets and processing zones.

Theophilus Danjuma Jr., Chairman of TY Logistics Park, explained that the project began four years ago with a vision to develop a world-class logistics facility that meets global trade standards and supports multiple sectors.

He added that the park will deliver contract logistics, digitalised warehouse operations and integrated supply chain services for industries such as electronics, pharmaceuticals, auto parts, and fashion.
