The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, has received the Director-General of the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) Congress, Dubai, Mr Walid Farghal, in a strategic engagement aimed at strengthening Lagos’ global investment outlook.

Governor Sanwo-Olu highlighted the vast opportunities available in Lagos, particularly within the technology, infrastructure, and creative sectors, describing them as key drivers of sustainable growth and job creation.
He reaffirmed the commitment of his administration to creating and sustaining a business-friendly environment that supports high-impact investments, innovation, and long-term economic prosperity.
According to the Governor, Lagos remains Africa’s leading commercial hub, offering investors access to a large consumer market, a vibrant youth population, and a dynamic innovation ecosystem.

He noted that partnerships with global platforms such as the AIM Congress are critical to showcasing Lagos’ investment readiness and unlocking new opportunities for collaboration.
The Governor expressed optimism that stronger ties with international investment stakeholders would further enhance Lagos’ visibility on the global stage and attract capital into priority sectors.
Mr Farghal, on his part, acknowledged Lagos’ growing reputation as an investment destination and commended the state’s leadership for its proactive approach to economic development.
