President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will embark on a two-day working visit to Lagos State on Wednesday, April 8, and Thursday, April 9, to commission six major infrastructure projects delivered by the administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Eko Hot News reports that the visit marks President Tinubu’s first official trip to his home state since assuming office and is expected to showcase progress in transportation, education, sports development, and food security across Lagos.

The projects to be inaugurated include:

  • Ojota-Opebi Link Bridge (Opebi-Mende-Ojota Link Road): A 5.04-kilometre network to ease traffic congestion across Ojota, Maryland, Mende, Opebi, and Allen.
  • Tolu Schools Complex: A redeveloped secondary school in Ajegunle with upgraded classrooms, ICT labs, and modern sports facilities.
  • Maracana Stadium in Ajegunle along with 19 mini football pitches across the state.
  • Lagos Food Logistics Hub in Abijo: Designed to boost agro-trade with modern storage and trading facilities.
  • Lagos State Geographic Information Service (LAGIS) Building in Alausa.
  • Lagos State Multi-Agency Complex.

The Lagos State Government has deployed 500 personnel from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) to manage traffic and ensure smooth vehicular movement during the presidential visit.

Commissioner for Information and Public Relations, Gbenga Omotoso, described the projects as part of Governor Sanwo-Olu’s commitment to delivering impactful legacy infrastructure aimed at improving the quality of life for Lagos residents.
