President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will inaugurate six major projects delivered by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu during his first official visit to Lagos since assuming office.
Eko Hot News reports that the two-day visit will feature the commissioning of strategic infrastructure across the state. These projects are designed to improve mobility, education, food systems, and public service delivery.
Among the projects listed is the Ojota-Opebi Link Bridge. The infrastructure connects key commercial and residential areas, easing movement between Ikeja and surrounding communities.
Other projects include the Lagos State Geographic Information Service building and the Lagos Multi-Agency Building in Alausa. These facilities are expected to enhance efficiency in governance and service access.

Also scheduled for commissioning is the Lagos Fresh Food Hub located in Abijo, Ajah. The hub is designed to improve food distribution and accessibility within the Eti-Osa corridor.
The President will also unveil the Tolu Schools Complex in Ajegunle. The upgraded educational facility now serves thousands of students in the Ajeromi-Ifelodun area.
Additionally, the Maracana Stadium featuring 19 mini football pitches will be commissioned. The project supports youth engagement and grassroots sports development.
Details of the visit were shared by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, during a press briefing in Alausa. He noted that the projects reflect the administration’s focus on development.
Omotoso explained that the projects were carefully planned to meet the needs of Lagos’ growing population. He added that they aim to stimulate economic activities and improve the
quality of life.
He emphasized that the visit highlights the partnership between the federal and state governments. The collaboration, he said, is key to delivering impactful projects.
Speaking on the Ojota-Opebi Link Bridge, Omotoso said it addresses long-standing traffic challenges. The corridor serves as a major route for commuters across Lagos Mainland.
He noted that the project was originally conceived during Tinubu’s tenure as Lagos governor. It was later revived and completed under the current administration.
The Tolu Schools Complex has also undergone major transformation. New classrooms and a vocational training centre have been added to support learning.
The upgraded facility includes buildings designed for people living with disabilities. This ensures inclusivity and accessibility for all students.

Commissioner for Agriculture, Abisola Olusanya, highlighted the benefits of the Fresh Food Hub. She said it will strengthen food supply and reduce pressure on traditional markets.
Special Adviser on e-GIS, Olajide Babatunde, explained that the LAGIS building will provide centralized access to land and mapping services. This will improve efficiency in urban planning.
The state government has also made arrangements for smooth movement during the visit. Traffic management plans have been put in place to minimize disruptions.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority will deploy over 500 personnel to manage traffic flow. This is aimed at ensuring order and convenience for residents.
Authorities have appealed to the public for cooperation. Residents are advised to adhere to traffic guidelines during the visit.
The commissioning of these projects marks a milestone in Lagos development. It reflects a commitment to building a modern and inclusive city.
