 The Lagos State Motor Vehicle Administration Agency (MVAA) has reaffirmed its commitment to stronger inter-agency collaboration following a courtesy visit by the Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency (LASCOPA).

Eko Hot News reports that the Permanent Secretary of MVAA, Mr Abdulrasheed Muri-Okunola, received the General Manager of LASCOPA, Mr Afolabi Solebo, alongside members of his management team, as part of efforts to enhance cooperation and improve public service delivery in Lagos State.

During the meeting, Muri-Okunola outlined MVAA’s operational framework and key initiatives, including the ongoing replacement of damaged or faded number plates across the state.

He also highlighted the three-month amnesty programme running from January to March 2026, aimed at encouraging compliance and easing administrative processes for motorists.

Discussions at the meeting focused on deepening institutional collaboration between both agencies to improve operational efficiency and deliver greater value to motorists and the general public.

Muri-Okunola reiterated MVAA’s commitment to excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in vehicle registration and administration processes.

He stressed that protecting consumer rights remains central to MVAA’s mandate and aligns with the broader governance priorities of the Lagos State Government.

In his remarks, LASCOPA General Manager, Mr Afolabi Solebo, commended MVAA for its structured approach to service delivery and its efforts in promoting transparency and consumer confidence.

Solebo emphasised the importance of sustained inter-agency collaboration in effectively addressing consumer-related concerns and enhancing trust in public institutions.

The visit further underscored MVAA’s leadership role in efficient vehicular administration, proper vehicle documentation, and the promotion of transparency and accountability in public service delivery.

Both agencies expressed readiness to continue working together to strengthen consumer protection and ensure improved service outcomes for residents of Lagos State.
