The Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture has reaffirmed its commitment to deepening partnerships with private sector players to strengthen the State’s tourism and cultural heritage development drive.

Eko Hot News reports that the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs Bopo Oyekan-Ismaila, on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, received the Managing Director of iFind Productions, Mr Francis Nebot, and the Co-founder/Managing Director of IGA Nigeria Limited and Heritage Consultant to the Ministry, Mr Mogbolahan Ajala, on a courtesy visit at her office in Alausa, Ikeja.

The meeting also had in attendance key members of the Ministry’s management team, including the Deputy Director, Monuments Management Department, Mrs Folashade Jide-Oyeshola, and the Head of the Legal Unit, Mrs Eunice Ibitola, underscoring the strategic importance of the engagement.

Discussions during the visit focused on strengthening collaboration between the Ministry and private sector stakeholders, particularly in the areas of heritage preservation, creative content development, and innovative tourism promotion strategies.

Mrs. Oyekan-Ismaila highlighted the State Government’s commitment to leveraging partnerships to unlock the full potential of Lagos as a leading tourism and cultural destination in Africa.

She noted that collaboration with experienced industry players remains critical to achieving sustainable growth in the sector.

Mr Francis Nebot, Managing Director of iFind Productions, expressed interest in supporting initiatives that promote Lagos’ cultural assets through storytelling, digital platforms, and creative productions that appeal to both local and international audiences.

Similarly, Mr Mogbolahan Ajala emphasised the importance of structured heritage management and professional consultancy in preserving historical sites and monuments across the State.

He reiterated his readiness to continue supporting the Ministry’s heritage-focused programmes.

The engagement provided an opportunity for idea exchange on innovative approaches to tourism development, arts promotion, and cultural sustainability in Lagos State.
