The Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs Toke Benson-Awoyinka, is advancing strategic efforts to position Lagos as Africa’s leading tourism and creative hub through high-level global partnerships.
Eko Hot News reports that the Commissioner held a strategic meeting with the Vice President for Growth and Partnerships, Rolling Stone Africa, Mrs Itohan Barlow-Ndukuba, and the Chief Executive Officer of Glam Brand Agency, Mrs Bola Balogun.
The meeting focused on strengthening cultural storytelling, deepening diaspora engagement, and exploring international collaborations capable of expanding Lagos’ visibility on the global creative and tourism stage.
Discussions also centred on leveraging media, fashion, music, and cultural platforms to showcase Lagos’ heritage while opening new opportunities for creatives and tourism operators.

The engagement forms part of the Lagos State Government’s broader strategy to boost tourism development and promote the State as a centre of cultural excellence and innovation.
Officials noted that partnerships with globally recognised brands and agencies are critical to amplifying Lagos’ cultural narratives and attracting international audiences.
