The Lagos State Government, through the Lagos State Infrastructure Asset Management Agency (LASIAMA), has unveiled the redeveloped BOSKOH Garden at the Main Secretariat Complex, Alausa.
Eko Hot News reports the event also featured the inaugural Christmas Lights Switch-On Ceremony, marking the start of what will become a yearly festive tradition.

The General Manager of LASIAMA, Ms Adenike Adekanbi, said the redevelopment represents the rebirth of a once-vibrant sustainability landmark that had deteriorated over time. She noted that the intervention became necessary to restore the garden’s role as a model space for greenery and environmental preservation.
She affirmed that the transformation was achieved through collaboration with the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure and LASPARK. According to her, the project prioritised the preservation of natural elements, including the iconic trees that define the space.

Adekanbi stated that the new BOSKOH Garden was designed as a serene, eco-friendly oasis for relaxation, recreation, meetings, and public service engagement.
She added that the Christmas Lights Switch-On will now be an annual event symbolising sustainability and festive unity within the Secretariat.
The Special Adviser to the Ministry of Works, Engr. Dr Olakunke Olayinka described the project as a testament to the government’s efficiency in public asset maintenance and commitment to functional civic spaces.
Unveiling the garden, the Head of Service, Mr Olabode Agoro, commended LASIAMA for converting previously underutilised spaces into valuable public assets aligned with Lagos’ modernisation vision.

Also present was the Permanent Secretary, Office of Works, Arc. Adebayo Ayodeji Odusanya who reiterated the government’s dedication to consistent infrastructure upkeep across state facilities.
Located opposite the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, the redesigned BOSKOH Garden now features lawn seating, shaded lounge areas, landscaped walkways, and a dedicated festive light-up point that will illuminate the Secretariat every December.
