Lagos State Government has officially launched the Eko Studio Culture Initiative, a programme aimed at equipping young creatives with practical skills in music and sound production.
Eko Hot News reports that the Ministry of Wealth Creation hosted key partners, including Dream Music Hall and The Place, for a strategic stakeholders’ meeting to ensure the success of the initiative.

The engagement highlighted collaboration on implementation strategies, operational frameworks, and the overall vision to deliver a world-class experience for participants.
The Eko Studio Culture Initiative is a free, two-month intensive masterclass covering music production, sound engineering, movie scoring, and DJing. The DJing component is exclusively reserved for female participants.

The programme aims to bridge the skills gap in the creative sector by providing access to industry-standard training, mentorship, and hands-on experience for aspiring talents.
Honourable Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, Hon. Akinyemi Ajigbotafe, reaffirmed the state government’s support for programmes that uplift and empower creatives within the music industry.
He emphasised that initiatives like the Eko Studio Culture are crucial for driving innovation, job creation, and sustainable youth development in Lagos State.

Participants and partners expressed excitement, highlighting that the initiative will help nurture the next generation of music and sound professionals across the state.
The Ministry of Wealth Creation has called on stakeholders and industry experts to continue collaborating to ensure that the programme meets its goals and positively impacts the creative economy.
This initiative forms part of Lagos State’s broader efforts to strengthen the creative industry and provide young people with practical skills for economic empowerment.
