The Bode Agoro, Head of Service of Lagos State, has called on all auditors in the State Public Service to uphold a culture of excellence across all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).

Eko Hot News reports that Mr. Agoro made the remarks during the 2026 Induction Programme for 214 newly recruited auditors. The event was held at the OPTS Hall, Lagos State Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Alausa, Ikeja.

He encouraged the new recruits to view their roles not merely as jobs but as a calling requiring total commitment, dedication, and high professionalism in service delivery.

Mr. Agoro highlighted that effective public service depends on sustained dedication and assured that the Office of the Head of Service, in partnership with the Ministry of Establishments and Training and the Audit Service Commission, would provide continuous training to enhance skills and professional competence.

He also advised the auditors to familiarize themselves with Lagos State’s developmental agenda to ensure their work aligns with government objectives and contributes meaningfully to public policy implementation.

Emphasizing the importance of professional conduct, Mr. Agoro reminded the new recruits that proper dressing and appearance reflect the values and standards of the State Public Service.

The induction programme included sessions aimed at building knowledge of auditing practices, state governance structures, and the ethical standards expected of public servants.

Officials noted that the initiative is part of Lagos State’s broader strategy to strengthen the capacity of its workforce and ensure high-quality service delivery to residents.
