The Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr Idris Aregbe, has visited Dr Linus Chinedu Okorie, Founder of Guardians of the Nation International (GOTNI), in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Eko Hot News reports that the meeting focused on youth development, leadership capacity building, and collaborations to strengthen Lagos State’s creative ecosystem while empowering young creatives.

The engagement aligns with the state’s vision to position Lagos as Africa’s premier hub for tourism, arts, and creative industries.

GOTNI is widely recognised for impactful youth leadership initiatives aimed at equipping young Nigerians with skills, values, and a mindset for personal growth and national development.

Flagship programmes highlighted include Mission to Schools, promoting leadership consciousness among tertiary students nationwide; the Emerging Leaders Conference, nurturing future leaders with practical skills; and the Self-Discovery Leadership Programme, supporting young people in uncovering purpose and leadership potential.

Additionally, the Leadership & Business Development Programme for SMEs aims to strengthen Nigeria’s growing small and medium enterprise sector by combining leadership training with practical business development guidance.

The discussion emphasised collaboration opportunities between Lagos State and GOTNI to integrate creative and youth leadership programmes into state-led initiatives, fostering innovation and empowerment.

Mr Aregbe noted that strategic partnerships with organisations like GOTNI are crucial for creating platforms that allow young people to thrive in leadership, entrepreneurship, and the creative industries.
