Greene Calls Trump Attack “Hurtful”

Georgia congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene says Donald Trump’s attacks calling her a “traitor” and “lunatic” were painful, though she still hopes they can reconcile.

Eko Hot News reports that Greene, speaking in her first interview since Trump withdrew his endorsement, told CNN’s State of the Union that the accusations were “extremely wrong” and have sparked safety warnings from private security teams. She warned that Trump’s language could “radicalise people” against her and put her life at risk, blaming the fallout on her push for full transparency over Jeffrey Epstein government files. Greene plans to support a House vote demanding the release of all Epstein records, a move adding pressure after last week’s massive document dump linking Epstein to Trump, Steve Bannon and other influential figures.

She also called for an end to “toxic politics,” expressing regret for her own past inflammatory rhetoric. Greene urged Trump to focus more on inflation and tougher immigration measures, saying she’d prefer to see “Air Force One parked and staying at home.” Despite the escalating feud, she ended on a conciliatory note, saying she still hopes they can “make up” and emphasising forgiveness as a core part of her faith.
