Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, has called for stronger moral values, faith-driven leadership, and closer collaboration between government and the Church to support Nigeria’s sustainable development.

Eko Hot News reports that the governor made the call in a goodwill message at the 2026 Annual General Conference of the Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria.

The conference was held at the Whitestone Event Place, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos.

Governor Sanwo-Olu was represented at the event by the Secretary to the State Government, Barrister ’Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin.

He welcomed spiritual leaders, delegates, and worshippers from across the country, describing the conference as timely and significant.

The governor commended the Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church for its commitment to prayer, holiness, moral discipline, and service to humanity.

He praised the leadership of the church’s Supreme Head, His Eminence, Prophet (Dr.) Emmanuel Abiodun Alogbo.

Governor Sanwo-Olu noted that faith-based institutions play a vital role in shaping responsible citizens and promoting peaceful coexistence.

He outlined the focus of his administration’s THEMES Plus Agenda, including transportation, health, education, technology, economic growth, security, and governance.

The governor stated that Lagos has recorded progress in infrastructure, healthcare, youth empowerment, digital innovation, housing, and security.

He acknowledged the complementary role of the Church in moral guidance, youth mentorship, and social welfare.
