The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has officially handed over three Mobile Clinic Units under the Renewed Hope Initiative, Love on Wheels project, aimed at expanding access to healthcare in underserved communities across the country.
Eko Hot News reports that the mobile clinics were deployed to improve emergency response, medical outreach, and healthcare delivery for vulnerable populations, in line with the Renewed Hope health agenda.
Two of the Mobile Clinic Units were donated to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), fulfilling an earlier commitment made by the First Lady to support youth-driven community healthcare services.
The third Mobile Clinic Unit was presented to the Taraba State Government, following Senator Tinubu’s recent visit to the state during a health programme for frontline health workers.
Speaking during the handover, the First Lady emphasised that the initiative reflects her belief that service to Nigerians must transcend party politics.
She stated that the primary focus of the Renewed Hope Initiative is to put people first by ensuring equitable access to quality healthcare services.
According to her, the mobile clinics are designed to reach remote and hard-to-access communities where conventional healthcare facilities are limited or unavailable.
She noted that the units would also enhance rapid medical response during emergencies, particularly for women, children, and the elderly.
Senator Tinubu expressed confidence that the collaboration with NYSC would strengthen grassroots healthcare delivery through community-based interventions.
She also commended healthcare workers and volunteers who continue to serve under challenging conditions across the country.
The First Lady urged beneficiaries to utilise the mobile clinics responsibly and ensure proper maintenance for long-term impact.
She expressed hope that the initiative would ease the burden on families by bringing essential medical services closer to their communities.
