Eko Hot News reports that Speaking at the summit, the speaker emphasised that sustainable educational progress cannot be achieved unless teachers are properly equipped, empowered, and valued for their critical role in shaping young minds and building the nation’s future.

Drawing from personal experience as a former classroom teacher, the address encouraged educators to uphold innovation, excellence, and integrity, noting that these values remain essential in responding to the evolving demands of modern education.

The summit brought together teachers and education stakeholders from across the country to deliberate on strategies for strengthening teaching quality, improving learning outcomes, and repositioning the profession for national transformation.

A major highlight of the event was the official launch of the Edu Revamp Portal, a digital platform designed to enhance continuous professional development for teachers nationwide.

The portal aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and is expected to provide teachers with access to modern training resources, skills development tools, and innovative teaching methods.

The summit also celebrated excellence in teaching with the recognition of Mr Solanke Francis Taiwo of Ogun State as Nigeria’s Overall Best Teacher.

Mr Taiwo received a cash prize of ₦50 million, a two-bedroom flat, and a brand-new car, underscoring the Federal Government’s commitment to rewarding dedication and professionalism in the education sector.

The recognition was widely applauded as a strong message that teaching remains a respected and valued profession in Nigeria.

Participants at the summit expressed optimism that sustained investment in teachers’ welfare and development would translate into improved educational standards and long-term national growth.
