The Lagos State Office of Transformation, Creativity and Innovation (OTCI) has urged the Lagos State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) to strengthen teamwork and align its mandate with the State Government’s development agenda.
Eko Hot News reports that the charge was delivered during a strategic visit by OTCI officials to TESCOM as part of efforts to reposition the Commission for more efficient and effective service delivery.
Leading the delegation, the Permanent Secretary, OTCI, Mrs Toyin Anjous-Ademuyiwa, emphasised the importance of organisational structure and strong business processes. She noted that collaboration between leadership and staff is vital to achieving institutional goals.
Anjous-Ademuyiwa stressed that all operations must align with clearly defined processes and strategic direction. She also called for a review of TESCOM’s vision and mission to ensure consistency with the State’s T.H.E.M.E.S Plus Agenda.
According to her, punctuality, transparency, open-mindedness, effectiveness, and passion are essential qualities required to reposition the Commission for greater performance. She encouraged staff to actively participate in reform initiatives aimed at strengthening the education sector.
Drawing from her experience, she urged officers to embrace self-improvement, diligence, and commitment to duty. She maintained that teamwork remains the foundation for delivering sustainable results.
The OTCI team was received by the Chairman of TESCOM, Mrs. Victoria Mopelola Peregrino, and the Permanent Secretary, Mr. R. O. Ojikutu. Both assured the delegation that TESCOM would continue to operate as a unified body with well-aligned mandates.
They reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to the T.H.E.M.E.S Plus Agenda, noting that education remains the third pillar of the State Government’s development framework. The visit underscores Lagos State’s resolve to strengthen governance systems and improve service delivery across key sectors.
