The maiden edition of the Oniru Business and Cultural Day was held at the Oba Oniru Palace, drawing government officials, business leaders, and cultural stakeholders.

Eko Hot News reports that the Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Toke Benson-Awoyinka, was represented at the event by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Bopo Oyekan-Ismaila.

Also present was the Special Adviser to the Governor on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Idris Aregbe, alongside other ministry officials and dignitaries.

The initiative aims to boost business confidence, promote inclusive economic growth, and strengthen cultural and commercial diplomacy within Lagos State.

Organisers noted that the platform connects indigenous and expatriate businesses, showcases products and services, and encourages strategic networking to unlock new opportunities.

A major outcome of the gathering is the establishment of the Iru Business Network, designed to maintain a business registry, host periodic forums, and facilitate communication between the government and the private sector.
