Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, has been appointed as a Sub-National Representative on the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA), African Region.
Eko Hot News reports that the appointment will run from 2026 to 2029 and reflects growing recognition of the Lagos State legislature within the Commonwealth parliamentary network.
The announcement of the appointment was formally made during plenary at the Lagos State House of Assembly. The information was conveyed to lawmakers by the Clerk of the House, Olalekan Onafeko.
Members of the Assembly welcomed the development and congratulated Speaker Obasa on the international recognition. They described the appointment as a reflection of his contributions to legislative leadership.
