The Lagos State Commissioner for Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade and Investment (MCCTI), Mrs Folashade Bada Ambrose, has reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to continuous stakeholder engagement with the Badagry Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (BACIMA).
Eko Hot News reports that the assurance was given when the Commissioner hosted executives and leaders of BACIMA during a stakeholder engagement meeting held at the Ministry on Tuesday.
Eko Hot News reports that the Commissioner was represented at the meeting by the Permanent Secretary, MCCTI, Mr Babatunde Onigbanjo, who conveyed the Ministry’s strong support for BACIMA’s programmes and initiatives
.
Mr Onigbanjo assured the BACIMA leadership of the Ministry’s readiness to partner with the Chamber towards the successful organisation of its maiden trade fair, describing the initiative as timely and strategic for economic growth in the Badagry axis.
He noted that trade fairs remain critical platforms for promoting local industries, attracting investment, expanding market access, and showcasing the economic potential of communities, especially border towns like Badagry.

According to him, the Sanwo-Olu administration is committed to inclusive economic development, ensuring that commerce and trade opportunities are extended to all parts of Lagos State.
The BACIMA leadership, in response, appreciated the Ministry for its openness and support, noting that the proposed trade fair would create opportunities for businesses, artisans, cooperatives, and investors within and beyond Badagry.

They explained that the trade fair is expected to stimulate local enterprise, encourage cross-border trade, and strengthen Badagry’s position as an emerging commercial hub.
The engagement further reinforces MCCTI’s people-centred approach to governance, anchored on collaboration with the private sector and organised trade groups to drive sustainable economic growth across Lagos State.
