The Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board (LSCPWB) has attributed the success of its 2025 pilgrimage exercise to divine guidance and strong institutional support.
Eko Hot News reports that the Board Secretary, Okudero Gbolabo Omoniyi, made this known while addressing journalists at his GRA office, noting that the smooth execution of the LSCPWB 2025 pilgrimage success was divinely orchestrated.

The Board also acknowledged the role of the Lagos State Government in ensuring a seamless operation.
This disclosure was made during a media interaction marking the first anniversary of the Board Secretary.
According to him, a slight delay in embarking on the pilgrimage could have disrupted the entire exercise, as the Middle East crisis escalated shortly after the safe return of the second batch of pilgrims.
Omoniyi gave glory to God for the successful exercise and expressed appreciation to Lagos State Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, his deputy, Obafemi Hamzat, Commissioner for Home Affairs, Ibrahim Layode, Permanent Secretary, Adewunmi Ogunsanya, and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Religious Affairs, Bukola Adeleke.
He also acknowledged the support of the Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission, Steven Adegbite, for their leadership and contributions to the success of the pilgrimage.

Highlighting achievements within his first year in office, the LSCPWB boss revealed that over 400 Lagos State pilgrims were successfully coordinated to the Holy Land, alongside expanded engagement with churches, government institutions, and media organisations.
He noted that the LSCPWB 2025 pilgrimage success was driven by a strengthened preparation framework, including administrative and medical screenings, orientation programmes, and spiritual activities designed to ensure pilgrims’ readiness before departure.
“This outcome reflects a deliberate commitment to proper planning, coordination, and the overall welfare of our pilgrims,” Omoniyi stated.

Looking ahead, he disclosed that the Board plans to introduce an automated pilgrimage registration system aimed at improving efficiency and accessibility for intending pilgrims.
He further encouraged Lagos State Christians interested in the 2026 pilgrimage to begin registration early, assuring that adequate structures have been put in place to guide participants through every stage of the process.
Omoniyi reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to delivering services anchored on love, dedication, and excellence.
