The Lagos State Resilience Office (LASRO) has reviewed the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) of the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education to strengthen preparedness and service delivery.
Eko Hot News reports that the LASRO team, led by Dr Folayinka Dania and represented by Olayinka Oyekan, convened the stakeholders’ meeting at the Ministry’s conference room.
The session was declared open by Mrs. Akinfuyewa, Director of ICT at the Ministry of Education and BCP Champion, who stressed the importance of resilience in sustaining educational services.

She urged participants to pay close attention, noting that preparedness is critical to managing disruptions and ensuring uninterrupted learning.
The meeting brought together BCP consultants, officials from the Curriculum Services Department, resilience officers from the six Education Districts, and other key partners.

Officials explained that a Business Continuity Plan provides a structured framework to help organisations prepare for, respond to, and recover from unexpected disruptions.
They added that the BCP safeguards essential operations by mapping critical processes, assessing risks, and setting recovery strategies.

Discussions highlighted the need for every staff member to understand and actively support the Ministry’s continuity framework.
Participants also received training on completing the Business Impact Assessment form to identify critical functions and potential risks.

The engagement reinforced Lagos State’s commitment to resilience in education, ensuring that teaching and learning continue despite unforeseen challenges.
