The Lagos State Resilience Office (LASRO) has launched the 2025 edition of its Resilience Sensitisation Workshops for students across Lagos.
Eko Hot News reports that the initiative, organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and other stakeholders, is being implemented across all six Education Districts to strengthen resilience capacity in public secondary schools.
The workshops began on Wednesday with Education District II at Immaculate Heart Senior Comprehensive High School in Maryland, Ikeja. The sensitisation continued on Thursday at Dolphin Senior Secondary School, Lagos Island, covering Education District III, with the remaining districts scheduled for subsequent sessions.

According to LASRO, the programme aims to empower students to better understand and navigate social, environmental, psychological, and economic challenges in an increasingly complex urban space. The initiative also seeks to help young people build mental strength, adaptability, and problem-solving skills essential for thriving in Lagos’ dynamic environment.
The 2025 edition marks the second rollout of the Resilience Sensitisation Workshops, reinforcing the state government’s commitment to preparing young individuals for real-world challenges and promoting long-term community sustainability.
LASRO emphasised that equipping students with resilience tools is critical to nurturing a generation capable of responding effectively to emergencies, societal pressures, and developmental obstacles.
