The Lagos State Parking Authority (LASPA) has organised a specialised drone operations training programme for its staff as part of efforts to improve parking management across Lagos State.

Eko Hot News reports that the two-week intensive training initiative was designed to build technical capacity among LASPA personnel and strengthen the agency’s operational efficiency through the use of modern technology.

According to the General Manager of LASPA, Adebisi Adelabu, the programme aims to deepen the authority’s technological capabilities and improve monitoring of parking activities across the state.

She explained that the integration of drone technology into parking management will enable real-time monitoring of parking spaces and improve enforcement processes.

Adelabu noted that drone deployment will also enhance data collection and storage, providing the agency with more accurate information for planning and decision-making.

She explained that the current training programme represents the second phase of the authority’s drone operations training initiative.

The training sessions are being conducted by LASPA officials who previously received professional drone training.

The initial training was facilitated by Tolulope Shosimi, a certified drone specialist from Tolu Shosimi Studios.

According to Adelabu, the trained officials are now serving as internal instructors, transferring their knowledge and expertise to new teams within the agency.
