Mrs. Adenike Oyetunde-Lawal, Deputy Director of LASODA, described the agency as “a home for persons with disabilities” and encouraged unregistered individuals to take advantage of its open-door policy. She also urged organisations to maintain regular communication, sharing updates and progress reports to allow LASODA co-develop solutions for children, adults, and caregivers within the disability ecosystem.

Mr. Kelani Akeem, Director of Social Development and Integration, stressed accountability among NGOs, homes, and foundations, noting that 25 organisations were selected for this phase of support based on activity reports and set criteria.

Expressing gratitude on behalf of beneficiaries, Mrs. Felicia Martins, CEO of So-Said Charity Home for Vulnerable Persons, praised LASODA and the Lagos State Government for their ongoing support, noting that “every disability is a possibility.” She reaffirmed the commitment of caregivers and support institutions to the well-being of persons with disabilities.

Other beneficiaries included Irede Foundation, Excellent Child Initiative, Tolajoke Foundation, SAFREL Speech and Language Development Centre, Igbehin Adun Special School, and Iyaniwura Foundation, among others.
