Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin, affirmed that social inclusion remains a key priority for his administration.

He stated that access for persons with disabilities is a core indicator of responsible governance, adding that Lagos will continue to invest in mobility, education, healthcare, and economic empowerment programmes.

Sanwo-Olu noted that the THEMES Plus Agenda places renewed focus on gender equality and inclusive development, which guides reforms across transportation, public infrastructure, and education.

The Lagos State Head of Service, Mr Bode Agoro, commended LASODA for driving the disability inclusion agenda and acknowledged the creativity and resilience demonstrated by persons with disabilities in Lagos.

He emphasised that the government will continue to strengthen systems that enable PWDs to thrive and contribute meaningfully to the state’s development.

LASODA General Manager, Mrs Adenike Oyetunde-Lawal, described the celebration as another step toward uplifting vulnerable communities and reaffirmed the agency’s mandate to protect the rights of PWDs.
