The Lagos State Government has expanded the second phase of the Ounje Eko Farmers’ Subsidy Programme, extending a 25 percent subsidy on fish and poultry feeds to farmers in Agege and Alimosho.
Eko Hot News reports that the extension follows earlier distributions at major agricultural hubs, including the Fish Farm Estate in Odongunyan, Erikorodo Poultry Estate, and the Agricultural Training Institute, Araga, Epe.

The latest rollout covered the Farm Service Centre, Oko-Oba Agege; the Army Dog Farm, Ipaja; and the Mosan Community Fish Farm, Shagari Estate, where farmers received subsidised feeds.
Officials of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Systems were present at the distribution points to monitor the process and ensure transparency.

Farmers expressed appreciation to the Lagos State Government, noting that the subsidy comes at a critical time when production costs remain high.

They stated that the intervention will ease financial pressures, support expansion of their operations, and help stabilise market prices of fish and poultry products
