The Lagos State Lands Bureau has commenced an enforcement and sensitisation exercise in Eti-Osa Local Government Area, Oke-Ira Nla, to educate residents on property regularisation.
Eko Hot News reports that the exercise was carried out by the Director of Land Regularisation, Esv. Hakeem Bakare, following the directive of the Permanent Secretary of the Lands Bureau, Mr. Kamar Olowoshago.
According to Esv. Bakare, the initiative was designed to enlighten property owners on the importance of complying with Lagos State land administration policies and regulations.
Officials of the Bureau engaged directly with residents, explaining the benefits of regularising properties, including security of tenure and protection against future land disputes.

Property owners were also educated on the need for proper documentation and adherence to statutory requirements to ensure legal ownership and long-term peace of mind.
The Lands Bureau urged residents to take full advantage of the State Government’s land regularisation processes, noting that early compliance helps to prevent encumbrances and enforcement actions in the future.

Esv. Bakare reiterated the commitment of the Lagos State Government to orderly land management, transparency, and sustainable urban development across all local government areas.
He added that continuous sensitisation and enforcement exercises would be sustained to promote awareness and encourage voluntary compliance among property owners.

Residents welcomed the engagement, describing it as timely and informative, while calling for continuous public education on land administration processes.
The sensitisation exercise forms part of broader efforts by the Lagos State Lands Bureau to strengthen land governance, enhance public confidence, and promote compliance with land laws across the state.
