The Lagos State Government has intensified preparations for participation in the 15th Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) Congress 2026 following strategic discussions with the Director General of the AIM Congress, Mr Walid Farghal.

Eko Hot News reports that the meeting was held on Tuesday at the Ministry, following earlier engagements between Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and the AIM Congress leadership, aimed at strengthening Lagos State’s global investment outlook.

The Honourable Commissioner for Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade and Investment (MCCTI), Mrs Folashade Bada Ambrose, led the Lagos delegation alongside selected members of the State Executive Council to further outline Lagos State’s investment priorities and participation plans.

Discussions focused on showcasing Lagos as Africa’s leading investment destination, leveraging its infrastructure strength, innovation ecosystem, and growing economic base to attract global investors at the congress.

Several key government officials attended the engagement, reflecting a multi-sector approach to investment promotion. Commissioners, advisers, permanent secretaries, and senior officials across infrastructure, energy, housing, agriculture, tourism, and trade were represented.

Among those present were the Commissioners for Energy and Mineral Resources, Housing, and representatives from the Ministries of Agriculture and Tourism, alongside senior advisers to the Governor on infrastructure and investment-related portfolios.

The AIM Congress 2026 is scheduled to be held from April 13 to April 15 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The global investment event will convene policymakers, investors, and business leaders from across the world to explore opportunities in emerging and developed markets.

With the theme, “Reshaping Global Prosperity: Unlocking New Investment Pathways Towards a Sustainable and Inclusive Future,” the congress aligns with Lagos State’s development agenda.
