Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has met with the State Security Council to review the current security landscape and strengthen coordinated responses across the state.

Eko Hot News reports that the meeting was convened to ensure Lagos remains proactive in addressing emerging threats while sustaining the peace that residents rely on for daily life and economic stability. The governor noted that safeguarding lives and property remains a top priority of his administration.

According to Sanwo-Olu, the discussions were honest, strategic, and centred on enhancing intelligence-sharing, improving rapid-response measures, and reinforcing collaboration among all security formations operating in Lagos. He emphasised that the peace of the state is “non-negotiable,” stressing that good judgment and clarity must guide every security intervention.

The governor reassured Lagosians of his unwavering commitment to maintaining public safety, adding that continuous engagement with security stakeholders is essential to staying ahead of criminal activities. He praised the collective resolve demonstrated by security chiefs and pledged that the government will continue to provide the necessary support, tools, and logistics to strengthen operations.

Sanwo-Olu also urged residents to remain vigilant and to support security efforts by reporting suspicious activities promptly. He noted that effective security requires partnership between the government, agencies, and the public.
