The Lagos State Government has intensified efforts to preserve and monitor heritage tourism assets across the state through on-site inspections of cultural monuments.

Eko Hot News reports that members of the Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Tourism, Arts and Culture inspected the iconic Eyo Statue at the J. Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and Heritage, Onikan, Lagos Island.

The inspection was led by the Committee Chairman, Hon. Solomon Bonu, alongside the Special Adviser to the Governor on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr Idris Aregbe.

Also present was the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs Bopo Oyekan-Ismaila.
