The Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Central Internal Audit, Dr Oyeyemi Ayoola, has awarded full educational scholarships to persons living with disabilities in celebration of the 2025 International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD).
Eko Hot News reports that the scholarship presentation was held at the Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA Secretariat Hall in Ilupeju, Mushin, with members of the physically challenged community, stakeholders and disability-rights advocates in attendance.

Dr Ayoola commended the resilience and determination of PWDs, highlighting their remarkable contributions to society despite daily challenges. She noted that disability should never be a barrier to accessing quality opportunities.

She reaffirmed her commitment to supporting PWDs and explained that the scholarship initiative is aimed at strengthening inclusion across all levels. According to her, investing in the education of children and youths with disabilities is essential to empowering them and enabling their active role in nation-building.

Beneficiaries and their families expressed deep gratitude, describing the scholarships as a timely intervention that will ease financial pressures and provide long-term opportunities for academic and personal growth.
