The newly appointed Director-General of the Office of Education Quality Assurance (OEQA), Dr Sulaimon Olagoke Ogunmuyiwa, officially assumed office.
Eko Hot News reports that the management and staff of OEQA, alongside key education stakeholders, gathered to formally welcome Dr Ogunmuyiwa as he commenced his leadership of the agency.

The brief reception held to mark his first day in office featured prayers, thanksgiving, and goodwill gestures, with staff expressing optimism about the future of the agency under his leadership.
Goodwill messages were delivered by Coordinating Directors and Heads of Departments from the six Education Districts, who commended Dr Ogunmuyiwa’s professional capacity and expressed confidence in his ability to advance education quality assurance in Lagos State.

Several speakers noted that his appointment aligns with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s vision and the THEMES Plus Agenda, expressing belief that the agency would attain greater efficiency and impact.
In his remarks, Dr Ogunmuyiwa thanked Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Deputy Governor, Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, for the confidence reposed in him.
He also appreciated the Head of Service, Mr Bode Agoro; the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Mr Jamiu Tolani Alli-Balogun; and the Permanent Secretary, Mrs Abisola Dokunmu-Adegbite, for their guidance and support.

Dr Ogunmuyiwa assured stakeholders of his commitment to strengthening quality assurance mechanisms and improving learning outcomes across Lagos State’s basic and secondary education system.
