The Lagos Environmental Sanitation Corps has organised a one-day management retreat for senior staff and operatives to boost morale and strengthen operational excellence.

Eko Hot News reports that the retreat, themed “Leading the Change, Building Collaborations Towards Environmental Safety and Awareness,” was held at Jubilee Chalets in Epe.

In his opening remarks, the Corps Marshal, Olaniyi Olatunbosun Cole, said the initiative aligns with the THEMES Plus Agenda of Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu to ensure Lagos remains habitable and business-friendly.

Cole stressed that the retreat was designed to enhance effective service delivery and promote global best practices in environmental enforcement.

Chairman of the Organising Committee, Prince Idowu Apena Yisa, noted that the session aimed to strengthen enforcement strategies, improve inter-agency collaboration, and update operational tactics.

A strategic vision presentation by Dr Abimbola Oyarinu encouraged participants to embrace visionary and disciplined leadership inspired by global icons. He highlighted integrity, accountability, and service as key pillars of impactful leadership.

Dr. Adeyeye Mayowa emphasised the importance of collaboration and intelligence gathering in operational success, while Mrs Yetunde Adebayo underscored advocacy and stakeholder engagement as tools for ensuring environmental compliance.

The retreat also featured group brainstorming sessions focused on teamwork and professional excellence.

In his closing remarks, Cole urged officers to uphold discipline, professionalism, and good health practices to enhance service delivery.
