Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu will, on Friday, November 21, 2025, commission 233 new housing units at the Abraham Adesanya Housing Estate in Ajah, further expanding accommodation options along the Lekki corridor.

Eko Hot News reports that the Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Moruf Akinderu-Fatai, confirmed the development during a briefing with journalists, noting that the project comprises 34 blocks delivering 233 modern home units. He described the initiative as a significant step in increasing the housing stock for Lagos residents seeking quality and affordable accommodation within the rapidly growing axis.
Akinderu-Fatai explained that the project is a joint venture between the Lagos State Government and Urban Shelter Ltd., built on a 3.7-hectare site within the already established Abraham Adesanya Housing Estate along the Lekki–Epe Expressway. He reiterated the Ministry’s dedication to completing all ongoing housing projects in line with Governor Sanwo-Olu’s commitment to providing comfortable living spaces for residents.
The Abraham Adesanya Housing Estate has a rich legacy, having first been commissioned on January 15, 2001, by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during his tenure as Lagos State Governor. Recently, in October, Governor Sanwo-Olu also commissioned 420 home units at the Akinsanya Sunny Ajose Housing Estate in Ajara, further demonstrating his administration’s sustained investment in housing development across the state.
