Radio Lagos and Eko FM have emerged as top winners at the prestigious Nigeria Broadcasting Awards, earning recognition across multiple categories for excellence in broadcasting.
Eko Hot News reports that the awards, organised by the Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria, saw the Lagos-based stations stand out among 248 entries submitted nationwide, reaffirming their leadership in Nigeria’s radio industry.
The stations secured wins in six categories, including Radio Station of the Year and Best Radio Station in News for both English and Indigenous language broadcasting.
They also clinched awards for Best Radio Station in Original Production across Business, Drama, and Sports in both English and Indigenous language categories.
Individual excellence was also recognised, with Gbenga Alli-Balogun named Newscaster of the Year, while Titi Adeaga received the Reporter of the Year award.

The recognition highlights the stations’ commitment to quality programming, professionalism, and impactful storytelling that resonates with diverse audiences.
Receiving the awards on behalf of both stations, Jide Lawal, General Manager of Radio Lagos and Eko FM, expressed appreciation to the organisers for the honour.
He noted that the recognition would inspire the team to continue delivering high-quality content while sustaining the standards of excellence the stations are known for.
Jide Lawal also acknowledged the support of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, attributing part of the success to his leadership and commitment to media development in Lagos State.

He dedicated the awards to the Governor and commended his vision in creating an enabling environment for media organisations to thrive.
