Buhari’s Body Arrives Daura Residence for Burial

Buhari’s body has arrived at Daura residence for burial.

Eko Hot News reports that the body of former President Muhammadu Buhari arrived at his residence in Daura, his hometown in Katsina State, northern Nigeria, on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.

Buhari’s body will be interred according to Islamic rites after a prayer session to be led by the Chief Imam of Katsina State.

A large crowd of mourners had gathered at the residence of the former Nigerian leader to pay their respects and bid their farewell.

The body of the former President, which left the United Kingdom earlier on Tuesday, was received at the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua International Airport in Katsina by President Bola Tinubu.

Former President Buhari died in a London hospital at the age of 82 on Sunday, July 13, 2025.
