APC Sweeps Lagos LG Election 2025, Wins 57 Chairmanship Seats

APC has won all the chairmanship seats in the just concluded Lagos LG Election 2025.

Eko Hot News reports that the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party, has recorded a landslide victory in the July 12 local government elections in Lagos State, securing all 57 chairmanship seats and 375 out of 376 councillorship positions.

Justice Mobolanle Abidemi Okikiolu-Ighile (Rtd.), the chairman of the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC), announced the results during a press briefing on Sunday afternoon, noting that the only councillorship seat not won by the APC was in Yaba Local Council Development Area (LCDA), which was clinched by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
