The Lagos State Liaison Office, Abuja, has successfully hosted its maiden three-day Staff Retreat themed “Upskilling for Better Performance”
Eko Hot News reports that the retreat was held at the Exclusive Serene Hotel and brought together junior and management staff for intensive learning and strategic discussions.
The initiative was designed to strengthen staff capacity, enhance operational efficiency, and improve institutional effectiveness across departments.

Declaring the retreat open, the Director of Liaison, Mrs Taiwo Adaramola, described the programme as a strategic opportunity for reflection and renewed alignment with the Office’s broader mandate.
She encouraged participants to maximise the platform to develop skills that will reposition the Liaison Office for improved service delivery.

Sessions during the retreat focused on strengthening oversight functions, building institutional capacity, and enhancing service delivery to parastatals, agencies, and government-owned companies under Lagos State.
Facilitators, including Mrs Amina Yeside Hamza, Deputy Director, Admin and Human Resource, and Mr Mohamed A. Ahmed, delivered impactful sessions on mental health, workplace effectiveness, and time management.

Participants also engaged in interactive workshops, group exercises, discussions, and team-building activities aimed at boosting collaboration and performance.
The retreat concluded with practical recommendations and a renewed staff commitment to apply the knowledge gained to improve productivity.

The maiden retreat sets a strong foundation for continuous capacity building and organisational excellence within the Lagos State Liaison Office, Abuja.
